STLF and COVID-19, Our Commitment to Families

April 22, 2020

Dear Friends,

Your support of Sky’s the Limit Fund (STLF) is so appreciated, please let me fill you in on what we are doing to help families impacted by COVID-19 and our plans to steward your donations through these unprecedented times.

  • We are continuing to support youth in crisis, providing them access to wilderness therapy treatment with our partner programs and transitional support through our Family Coaching Service.
  • Thankfully, our wilderness partner programs continue to accept new students as they guide and counsel them through these stressful times. Programs have put in place protocols in accordance with CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of their young people, families and staff.
  • To better serve youth in crisis and their families needing support during these difficult times, Sky’s the Limit Fund has established the STLF COVID-19 Response Fund. Through this fund we are (1) expanding the post wilderness therapy treatment through our Family Coaching Service, and (2) helping families, with young people in the field and who have also been financially compromised as a result of the coronavirus, pay for their youth to complete their wilderness therapy program within Sky’s the Limit Fund’s partner wilderness programs as well as associated OBH (Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare) and AEE (Association of Experiential Education) accredited wilderness programs.
  • Finally, we have postponed events and formal fundraising efforts for the time being. However, we continue to accept donations on our website (LINK). We look forward to engaging with you, our STLF community, in the near future when times are less challenging for us all.

We hope that you and loved ones stay safe, healthy and strong. As always, we welcome any insight you may have.

Dear Sky’s the Limit Fund Community,

Along with you, we are closely watching the impact COVID-19 is having on our communities. At Sky’s the Limit Fund (STLF), we take the well-being and safety of our families, supporters, volunteers, board of directors and staff very seriously.

STLF services will not be impacted by COVID-19.  We are currently under a shelter-in-place order. As such, all staff are working remotely. You can rest assured that STLF will continue to provide funding for wilderness therapy programs and our family coaching service.

We are here should you have any questions or concerns, and we hope everyone remains safe and healthy.
